It’s adorable. This author makes characters with the best chemistry. You usually can’t predict the endings but this one is predictable. But it says a lot that I still wanted to listen to the whole thing and didn’t want to stop even though I knew what would happen. These two are so adorable and sweet. Romance and happiness for sure. It was perfect for back to school time. Beach read for the win.

This was such a sweet, sweet story. If I’m being honest, I was nervous going into this one because of all the hype, but booksta did not let me down! I felt like I was reading a hallmark or lifetime movie & I need to be made into one asap.

Although this has the insta-love trope, I felt that it was done well and didn’t come off as unrealistic or too much. I also laughed so much with this one, so for me, it definitely lived up to its rom com title . And to top it off there were so many likeable characters and I always enjoy that. My only complaint is that I don’t think it needed to be as long as it was only because a lot of Alexis’s inner dialogue became repetitive as the story went on.

I definitely recommend this one! Be sure to check content warnings before reading.

Favorite quotes:

“Grace costs you nothing.”

“Love follows you. It goes where you go. It doesn’t know about social divides or distance or common sense. It doesn’t even stop when the person you love dies. It does what it wants.”

Just keep her laughing,” Doug said. “When a woman laughs, her eyes are closed more. She won’t notice how ugly you are.”
