Getting Clean with Stevie Green by Swan Huntley is a book I tried to enjoy, but didn't. The storyline seemed all over the place and not cohesive. It is the story of Stevie Green, age 37, who has gone back home to La Jolla, California to help her mother organize moving to a new home. Stevie is so good at it that she decides this is her 'thing' and starts a business helping others declutter. The story is not as light or funny as I thought it would be, but that is probably on me. The cover made it look like a cute story, and while there are cute and funny moments, the overall story is of Stevie taking a hard look at her past and doing some decluttering of her own. Thanks to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the eARC. All opinions shared are influenced by nothing other than my own reading experience.

Quick cute read. Stevie is a great main character flawed but loveable. Although it's pretty predictable it was interesting and kept my attention.

Absolutely adored this book!

Main character is Stevie Green is a woman who’s just done with drinking and men!

This book is that one you read when you’re in a slump in life. Done dealing with bs and ready to power on!!

This book is a feel-good romcom. Hilariously funny! Laughed pretty much whole way through! I loved it!! I would definitely recommend!! 5 stars!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Swan Huntley for allowing me to fall in love with Stevie Green!

I really don't know what genre this should be classified as. There was a bit of mystery in the way that you already know what happened but aren't exactly sure how it came to be. There was a little romance or really a whole lot of bad decisions that involved other people but no chemistry or anything to qualify it as a romance novel. I guess the best I could describe it was as if a bad self-help book was turned into a fictional novel where the main character needed the most help of all but none of the characters exhibited any role model behavior. I read it fairly quickly but it was too fluffy for a book about topics that aren't fluffy at all.
