Ok wtf. The first half of this was similar to the first book and I was wondering why it had a higher good reads rating then I read the second half- specifically the last 50 pages or so an BAM, I understood. Jacks going back in time to save Evangeline, dead. Chaos being Castor (which I called), dead. Jacks being the archer!!!!!!! But the end end when her memories are taken- you’re joking. If her memories aren’t restored in the last book imma be pissed. Also it seems like her and jacks might end up together…? I don’t wanna get to hopeful but I guess we will find out.

I love Evangeline and Jacks relationship. I love how all the little secrets connect. Author did a really good job not spoiling anything or making things predictable (at least for me hehe). My heart aches for Jacks, he simply wants to love and be loved. He struggles to love Evangeline, because how could he risk her life for something so “selfish”. Agh JACKS I LOVE YOUUUUU I LOOOOVE YOU!! Lowkey don’t fuck with Lala. Also the previous key thing was Lowkey unnecessary? Anyways great book overall!!

I just don't feel the sparks that I feel every time I finish reading fantasy books. I'm probably going to re-read it to see why it is so hyped,😭 though I love the characters.
