Damn it, I loved this book. It was ridiculous in exactly the right way. I really thought I was going to hate it, especially when I started it, but I easily got wrapped up in the story.

I like Deanna/Jessica (main character). She's funny, confident, and intriguing. She obviously has a dark past, and I tore through the book to find out what all happened. I also like that she cares about the right things, as evidenced in the suspense parts of the book.

This book was creative and unique. It's quite over-the-top, but in the best way. I'll definitely be continuing with the series.

What a unique story! It was sexy, it was disturbing, it was dark, it was mysterious, it had a good ending, it was fun to read! There were some parts where I sort of expected more interesting things to happen which is why it doesn’t have a higher rating but I had a lot of fun reading it and it was very original!

This was a new author for me, and I was... unsure about this at the beginning.

It's definitely hard to rate/describe because I'm still "digesting" it, but I did enjoy it overall. There are definitely some tropes that aren't for the faint of heart, so check those before reading. But I actually like the way the author weaves in the mental health aspect, and I think she/he does a pretty good job.

Deanna/Jessica is our FMC and she has a lot of issues... like a TON. She hasn't left her apartment in 3 years, and NOT because she has agoraphobia. She gets all of her things delivered to her house and doesn't open the door until the delivery driver leaves. She's also a pretty famous cam-girl, and that leads to some of the angst of this story, but not quite what you think at the start.

Jeremy is her UPS (or some fictitious version) driver and has become enamored with her for some reason.

I'll say a solid 4 here and I'll be reading the rest of this season for sure.

The beginning of this book made me think I might hate it but I really enjoyed it. The premise is very interesting and it reminds me of the Mindf*ck series in a way. I think I am going to read the second book as well. I am interested in more of Deanna's story.
