Enjoyable, but quite shallow and with a repetitive use of adjectives.

A bit insipid and immature ~ but an easy beach-read if you're looking for a trip through adolescent fantasy. Fairly entertaining.

As someone who grew up with the movies but didn't read the books until now I am incredibly disappointed that there is no "spider monkey" in this. Other than that though really good if you want a YA vampire book! I liked getting the extra character backstories that weren't in the movie; I found the characters less awkward and more likable.

Oh god oh god oh god - the most awful book I ever read (only read the first one). Awful concept delivered awfully. This book makes me angry!

Okay i know it must be baffling to everyone that i'm giving this a 4.5 star rating. But i have a reason. It's because Twilight was my first ever YA novel and i was 13 at that time, it was addicting and my memories of that time are very fond. If i would re read it i know i would give it a 2 star rating so i'm not going to bother.

It is the writing style and the fantastical notion of an average teenage girl being drawn into the mystical world of vampire and werewolves that draws you in. What teen girl wouldn't want a hot immortal (non murderous) vampire falling in love with you and finding you irresistible? Lost a star though because I can't stand girls whose entire identity is their significant other. Is it romantic? Absolutely. Is it strong? Not at all. Show that you're capable of living and fighting on your own and that you don't rely on a man to get by. Where are my badass babes at?
