A cute retelling of The Little Mermaid told from Eric's perspective.
For the most part it's the same as the movie but they added more depth to Eric and about his life which was interesting. And his curse added another layer to the story and the character.

I just . . . this book had so much potential, but the writing . . . But alas, I will end up reading the others in this series though, those covers are just too grogeous.
Also, as a major Little Mermaid fan, I didn't care for the changes they made. I think it would've been done better if Eric's storyline took place prior to the events of the films instead of simultaneusly.
