It fell a little flat for me. I enjoy her writing style and it's not that I disliked it I was just a little bored at times. The ending was kind of disappointing to me because it had me thinking to myself again?..ook. BUT I will continue to read her books. I'm going through older ones as well. I enjoy this author this was just underwhelming a bit towards the end.

A perfectly balanced 'cozy' thriller (if that's even a thing: not super high-stake, with a nicely wrapped up ending), even though I Found You is not outrageously twisty, it checks all the boxes I want out of a story that's consistently gripping and testing one's theory.

For its lack of originality, it fully compensates with the precise pacing; I have not been this glued to a novel since Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney. The 3 (initially) detached narratives are equally engaging, and the short chapter 'bread crumbs' do a great job propelling the readers to keep moving forward. I also appreciate the characterization of its cast, which are ever so slightly shifted to avoid the typical thriller stereotypes (particularly the protagonist, Alice, whose brash and unfiltered personality I found quite endearing).

Like most thriller, some suspension of disbelief is required. People seeking shocking reveal might be disappointed with I Found You, as the revelation is 'logical' in the sense you can see where the book is heading, and I actually think Lisa Jewell was intentional with planting those explicit seeds (we literally have a character name 'Gray', pretty heavy-handed on the metaphor).

Overall, while I Found You is not a mind-blowing mystery thriller with a lasting impression, as a reading experience, I had a blast — and that's all one really needs sometimes.
