Interesting storyline, slightly juvenile but still enjoyable!
emotional hopeful mysterious medium-paced

overall a good real and a GOOD REVEAL; a nice symmetry and love the poem throughout;
wasn’t crazy about the narrator, thought her male voice was weird and she got too quiet at points

Was not expecting the ending but I will say I felt it dragged on a little bit. However, overall good young adult read!

This book could’ve been cut in HALF, it was so unnecessarily dragged out, my goodness. The narrator had the worst male-impersonation voices, I had to turn the down the volume at those passages because it sounded like she was growling or gargling. The main character Cleo did a lot of self-pitying, and the person who sent her on a goose chase, was pretty predictable.
And how did Cleo not recognize that Bennett/Shawn was her abusive ex-boyfriend’s brother???? How is it at the LAST MINUTE before she almost gets drowned into a pool, that she sees their brotherly similarities?????
And the whole: best friend being in love with her brother; was sooooo played out. Do yourself a favor, and pick a book with a REAL mystery that doesn’t take ages to solve.
