I was totally convinced I knew what role everyone had to play in that final clue... I was almost completely wrong, aside from the 3 obvious ones, nothing else made any sense until the reveal.

This is one of the worst YA thrillers I’ve ever read. Cleo, the main character is an aspiring forensic scientist but can’t even solve the mystery right in front of her, or piece together very obvious details. The huge secret that is at risk of being exposed isn’t even worth the effort of participating in a scavenger hunt created by a creepy stalker. The whole plot was incredibly predictable and I regret the time I spent pushing myself through this painfully slow book. If you want to write a plot with high stakes, don’t make the main character seem completely unbothered and blind towards the danger she is putting herself in. 2/5 stars, would not recommend
