I listened to the audio and didn’t love the inflection of the voice actress. Story was good and interesting.

Not the hugest fan of this one because it was extremely formulaic. Also, the whole scavenger hunt started on like the first page, which didn't give me any time to settle into the characters before the drama started, which I don't prefer because I end up less invested in the book.

first off, on page 305 in the us paperback, there is a whole section of editorial note. confused the heck out of me lolol
second, i slurped this up i really likes the flow of events and the pacing. I wasn’t impressed by the ending, it felt really cheap and i just kind of rolled my eyes. wish it had gone a different direction.
but overall it is a very quick page turning suspense novel and i liked it!

where to begin? i bought this book when i was at barnes and noble just looking around because it was $5 and looked semi-interesting. when i got home from barnes and noble i decided why not just read it right away, it’s short and i might really like it. the beginning started off pretty good, a girl who’s boyfriend drowned a year ago on a boating trip and now on her birthday theres a mysterious box in her bathroom? count me in. but then it just started to get boring. the clues weren’t intriguing and there was a lot of characters to follow, not the amount just how they were related. the “plot twist” or reveal for who put together this scavenger hunt at the end was mediocre and actually made me rate it one star below than my original rating. i’m not saying this book is horrible or bad, it’s just okay. the plot was very consistent which i liked and it was easy to follow somewhat, but it was just boring. 2/5 stars.
