Natalie D. Richard’s novel Seven Dirty Secrets was interesting and fun to read. It will certainly keep you on the edge of your toes, and I promise you won’t see the ending coming (in a good way). I truthfully loved the concept and felt like the information was hidden well enough that it felt thrilling and interesting throughout. While the events of the book feel a bit improbable, this was a fun thriller that played on specific character traits in order to succeed. If you’re looking for a fast-paced mystery thriller, I’d definitely point you towards this novel.

Think PLL but more boring and characters with little to no dimension.
Ok, so let me start by saying that I definitely recommend this book. It was the perfect quick read, and definitely kept me guessing. However, I thought the writing felt a little weird. Almost as if the author was trying too hard to make the writing relatable to young adults. I will also admit that I found some of the parts had a weird “flow” to them - like the writing was choppy. However, again, I definitely recommend the book and would read it again in a second!
Bit of an oof. This book is fast-paced, and if you just let it go without looking at it too hard, it's fine. That is, until the end.
Also, the big ol' editor's note that was never removed at the bottom of 305 - how was that even left in there?

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
The premise of Seven Dirty Secrets was quite enthralling for me... It definitely had a lot of potential. Unfortunately the main character, Cleo, just annoyed me. I found her quite useless, and she didn't capture my attention to be captivated by the plot.
The scavenger hunt was interesting to follow, and there were some twists I didn't fully expect, but I did predict the ending about half way through. I found some parts of it quite unbelievable (i.e. the detail of the hunt).
Overall an okay read. I would suggest reading this book as the narration was not something I enjoyed at all.

Seven Dirty Secrets is an intriguing and suspenseful story that captured me from the start. The scavenger hunt plot is a great touch as we too are playing along with the characters. Only one difference, their clock is ticking!! I went in without any expectations and I loved how the plot started right at the beginning. Several justifying factors come and go as we try to figure out the person responsible. Its like a wild chase for a goose you know you had with you all this time! The pacing is steady and the narration made it more interesting. Sometimes I got confused between the characters since the voices were more alike, but it got clearer after.
I wouldn’t say this is a uniquely written thriller, but I found this entertaining and puzzling as I went in without any expectations! 3.75/5

Seven friends, seven secrets. How far would you go to protect your sibling? That’s what Cleo needs to figure out when the mysterious scavenger hunt begins. I enjoyed this mystery; started out slow but picked up near the end. I figured out who the “Unknown caller” was about 1/2 way through, but kept reading just to find out if I was correct. Cleo is definitely a fighter; her friends are good at keeping secrets, ones she needed to have come out in the open in order to save herself and her brother. This is one for mystery lovers.
Super quick read and obviously couldn’t put it down! The ending had me totally shocked, with a legit spoken “oh my god, no way?!” If you’re looking for something short and easy to read, this is the book! Clearly several days after finishing this book I’m still thinking about it!
