About 1/4 of the way into the book I figured out the ending but there were plenty of things that had me pulled in a different direction. I liked the idea of the scavenger hunt and the backstory of Cleos 17th birthday. I did, however, think the aspects of her birthday at the river that were made out to be big reveals were actually very obvious. I also was so distracted by a few doubled up words and one whole section of editors notes left in right near the end. Otherwise, this is my second of Natalie D Richard's books and my favorite of the two.
I devoured this book in one sitting. What a great edge of your seat mystery. on the morning of her birthday, Cleo is set on a scavenger Hunt that seems to be tied to the death of her ex boyfriend, 1year ago.
This book hooks you from its first lines. It kept be guessing until the end. It’s not just a suspense thriller, but also a tribute to sibling connection, and the lengths we go through for the ones we love.

This was a fast paced thriller with lots of clues and twists and a surprise ending. The domestic abuse angle was very accurate.
