Sweet Romance

Penny and Spencer have a long history that seems to keep repeating itself. They have a chemistry that burns bright whenever they see each other but that seems to be dimmed by Spencer’s flippant views on all the ways he and Penny won’t work and the careless ways he shares those opinions with her. But they were just kids then and Spencer is ready for more but Penny isn’t convinced and, once again, there are obstacles that they just might be able to overcome to finally get there HEA.

This was a sweet second (or fourth) chance romance. It’s pretty low on drama/angst which makes it a great feel-good romance that you’ll want to curl up with on a lazy afternoon/evening.

This is another one that I read because it was free on Amazon and I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to! I loved that the heroine had dreams and things she wanted to do. That was a big part of her character. What I didn’t love is how frustrating the relationship in this book became.  Their conversations got circular and it stopped being cute and started to feel annoying. I was happy with how everything ended but was definitely glad it was over.

THIS IS PART OF A SERIES! This one was good, but I think my big mistake was reading these out of order... it is important to read in order because there were mentions that frankly didn't make sense until I went back & read the others. Cute story though and part of what was frustrating to read as a standalone, was really fun to read as part of a series - mostly that it enabled me to revisit this fun world.

This is set in a really fun bridal mall - that includes a menswear shop, bridal shop, cafe, etc. On Friday nights they have a "fashion show" and the main character is one of the models. To her horror, an ex shows up one night (helping a friend) and their many unresolved issues come up through the course of him trying to help.

I received this book free as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Penny Blake is an assistant at Enchanted Bridal. She pretty much does everything she can to help out the business including modeling bridal gowns. She never expected to be modeling one when her ex Spencer Buchanan walks in .

Spencer would like to reconnect with Penny but she's been left behind by him already and knows he's only in town for a short period of time. It doesn't take long for them to rekindle the flames. For them to have a future one of them has to relocate. That could be their breaking point.

I love how Angie, Hailey, Becca, Ella give Penny's thoughts and ideas of their business into consideration. They treat her like she is an equal. What a great bunch of women!

Spencer is so swoon worthy when he makes Penny's dream become reality. Such a great guy!

This is a great second (or third) chance at romance.

Samantha has a way of writing that makes you feel like you're really connecting with the characters in the book. Love that!

Not a massive fan of this one sadly. Penny became very unlikable in this book, Spencer was a bit boring for me, didn't seem there was a lot of development between the two, wanted more of the characters from books 2 and 3, Angie pissed me off again, didn't like how most of their relationship issues were put on Spencer, like the ending though.
