I love fantasy, I love graphic novels. It was only fitting that I started the year with a graphic novel adaptation of one of the most famous fantasy works of our time.

Highly enjoyable if you are a fan of King's "The Dark Tower" series. Would be helpful to at least read up to the 4th book in the series before picking this up, however, otherwise you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment! Loved the artwork and being able to see what Roland and his ka-tet might look like!

This was my second graphic novel, and I really liked it. That probably had a lot to do with the fact that I had just finished the last book in the Dark Tower series when I read this, and I was itching for more. There's no new story here, just the retelling of events in [b:Wizard and Glass|5096|Wizard and Glass (The Dark Tower, #4)|Stephen King|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1279805005s/5096.jpg|750558], but in graphic form. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed it. So much so that I'm currently working on acquiring the other GN's in the series to read as well. I'm thinking as I progress in the series, there will be more new content and not just a rehashing of events we already read about in the DT series, and I'm really looking forward to that. I never thought I'd get into GN's... But I guess now you could say I'm a fan of them!

I read this series. I'm not sure this graphic novel really adds anything to the series.

This is the "comic book" edition of the Dark Tower series. And it's just as awesome! Well done Stephen King! Well done!
