"This is one of those moments. When you’re entirely present and aware of the memories you’re making. A moment you’ll never have a second chance at, so best to squeeze the most from it."

I'll start by saying I'm an open hater of the roommate-to-lovers trope, however, this worked for me. I ate this one right up. I will also say, despite the love triangle, there were times I found myself more interested in the mystery behind the girl in the painting than the romance tbh. I mean, one of my kindle notes is from the quote
Spoiler"His mouth moves close to my ear. “I’m going to sneak into your room tonight, Abbey,” he rasps. “And I’m going to [...]"
boooooooo I actually backtracked after finishing the chapter to make this note. Elle, WHY didn't we get this scene???????? I've read your other books I know you're capable. boooooooo!

If the smut would have smutted just a tad more, this easily would have been a 5-star read for me.

I didn’t think this was Elle Kennedy’s best that I’ve read, but it was a nice enough story. FMC Abbey is the 19 year old daughter of a famous rockstar. Her Mom left her with her Dad when she was around two years old, so it’s always been the two of them. Abbey is tired of living vicariously through her Dad’s old stories, and enrolls in college in London for a year. She’s set to live with three female roommates, but upon arrival, it’s actually three men who live in the house. We get to follow Abbey for that year as she works through making new friends in a different country, finding the story behind a mysterious painting she bought from an estate sale, and finally to choosing between two men in her little love triangle. She does turn 20 in the book, but the age paired with the open door scenes hit me as kind of cringey.
