Leslie has just turned 25, and if you’re still single at this time than you are entered into the Governmental romance Program. This program, Real Love, will help you find a “suitable mate” for the rest of your life. Suitable meaning, “the same species, heterosexual” relationship.
The “Leader” has made it abundantly clear that same-sex relationships or interspecial relationships are forbidden, as are not so nice thoughts about the Leader. Protestors outside of the Courthouse for the conclusion of a court case of a romance between a Pig and a wolf is carried out, and they are sentenced to prison.
I am enthralled with this story. I’m interested in the world, I want to know more about the characters and I love the sarcastic wit that Leslie and Trish Posess. I’m also in love with the cool blue tones that permeate the art in this comic. It just makes everything pop and brings together the egnimatic characters with a unique backdrop.
Leslie’s really worried about her reoccurring sex dream with tall, white and wolfy, and more importantly how it will affect her future, now that she’s been chosen for the program. Real Love has already set Leslie up with a date, who has no picture and no real information other than they share a lot of the same interests.
The story splits between following Leslie to her date, Her roommate and best friend Trish, trying to console her and researching more about her dream. Which brings her to this amazing bookstore and even better a story about a legend of a white fox and a blue-haired pig. The Plot Thickens.
It culminates with us finally meeting a character I’ve been dying to see. This issue left me with many questions. Who is the wolf? How are they connected? Who is the Leader, how did he come to be? More importantly, what happens next?
I’m totally hooked now.
The Verdict: 9.0/10

Intriguing
There must be something else to this must be same sex marriage in this totalitarian system, something they either don’t want to happen or are scared of. There is so much mystery I am very much enthralled but constantly wishing for a little more world building as well as the character story.

Gooood
I'm really enjoying this story. My only beef with it is that it's too short! I feel like it takes me no time too finish it. Maybe they're just that good?

So, I’m not 100% sure how I feel about these yet. The first two at least, end with cliffhangers and they’re so short. A lot happens in them and the premise is just so intriguing, plus the art style is gorgeous.
While I’m not absolutely dying for volume 3, I do want to know what happens and see the art.
