Book 2 in the series was a bit harder for me to get through, i feel like although many things happened, also not much of anything happened and i found myself feeling really frustrated.
Dont even get me started on Caleb, he is not my favourite character.
I feel like Sunday's connections to her guys feel really serface level at times, just saying you love eachother doesn't really inspire that feeling of deep connection to me, no matter how many times they say it.
Hoping book 3 gets the ball rolling a bit more on the storyline beyond the mate pairings. Im more interested in her powers and the impending doom.

I’ve said it with the first one and I’ll say it again, this book is crack. Addicting. Consuming. And all so good! I liked this one more than the first one.

Kingston - I still can’t believe I prefer the wolf over the vampire (that never happens) but here we are. Kingston is everything. He’s sweet, steamy, cares so much for her. He’s literally the same species as her and her fated mate but cares enough that he’ll share her. His humour is great, and yeah, in book 1 he might have made some unsavoury choices, but I always disliked how she hated him for no apparent reason. I’m glad all that got resolved. And the beginning of the book, her first heat HOLY.

Noah - I’m still eh about him. I think I missed the part about how she hopped on board to his obsession so quickly with him in book 1. I think a part of me dislikes him because she chose him over Kingston at first for no good reason. He’s gone for much of the first half of this book, and I was quite nervous about his protectiveness when he got back, but I’m glad he’s also balanced. He’s not my favourite of the group, but I don’t dislike him.

Alek - oh sweet and steamy Alek. He still is so good for her. So sweet. He’s my number 2. I loved learning more about him and his powers though. I’d like a menage romance with him, Kingston, and Sunday. Before Noah returned it was the three of them together, and the two guys offset one another nicely.

Caleb - another one I’m still eh about. Great mouth on the man and their interactions are something else! I think him and Sunday would be a great forbidden/taboo MF romance but Caleb in the harem has me…eh. I don’t like or dislike him. Think I’m still warming up to him.

I still do like Sunday and I’m glad she has it all figured out in this one. No flip-flopping. There’s little fighting and challenges, and the group scenes have me… yes. Just yes. We’re learning more about her own background, and it’s interesting.

Also this book has one of the better done best friends and she’s just awesome!

This one focuses a lot on the already-existing relationships as they all fall into place with both Sunday and the group. It took me to the end of the book, that cliffhanger to understand why this series is written how it is. Her instant attraction to Noah is because book 1 was central around him. This one around Kingston. The next one around Alek, who we now know what he is. And assumingly, book 4 around Caleb who is slowly coming around.

Again, addicting books and I’m hopping right into book 3!
