I have a greater appreciation for this book as an adult teaching it to kids! The feelings, emotions, and themes will never be dated since kids and thier problems don't change.

People say that they loved the Outsiders. They say that it changed their lives and reduced them to tears. This is the first time I've read it, and I have to say that even through these years, it certainly stays gold. I loved the dynamics between Ponyboy and his brothers, in fact, I think it is the best part of this coming-of-age novel. There is such a feeling that conveys the fact that family that is thicker than blood, and a more provocative idea of swimming upwards in a society that often brings people down. Overall, I loved it. Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold.
