Oh, memories. I remember it so well, waiting in line for this book. It was July 2007… I would have been almost 23, so I’d been out of college about a year. We were on the precipice of recession and I was waiting tables. It was probably my second hoe era, but that’s not relevant here. Point is, I was so excited but it was bittersweet. I also wondered if the ending could ever live up to my expectations.

Somehow, it did.

I remember ugly crying, legit sobbing. I remember cheering. I remember shouting FUCK YES, NEVILLE. It hurt, but in the way things have to if you love them with all your heart. I had grown up with those kids, and it felt right to at least see them prevail. The worst was still ahead of me, but I made it out of the darkness eventually too. And this helped give me the hope and strength to do it ❤️

I’M SO SAD I FINALLY FINISHED THE SERIES!!! It was absolutely amazing and I honestly can’t find the right words. J.K Rowling did an incredible job rapping everything up and the details are fantastic. I kind of wish I did not read it so quick because it is possibly my favourite out of the whole series next to the Prisoner of Askaban. So many emotions in this and yet I still get sucked out of the moment I’m reading. I wish J.K Rowling would write Harry Potter and the Cursed child in a non screen play version because I would 100% read it. Even though I have read Harry Potter before there are always going to be elements you forget so it’s always interesting! I feel like a part of me dies every time I finish the Harry Potter series and it comes back the minute I start the series again it’s almost like I have lost a best friend or a really close family member when I finish the final book because I truly love this series and it has changed my life more than any other. It’s my home away from home. It’s the home I can carry with me and the home I can come and go easily if I wish. I love everything about it- the characters the plot the descriptions- everything. If you have watched the movies and not read the books you need to so much it different and you understand way more in the books! Read this series!

I honestly can’t say enough but I do love this book and the series!
