Oh my lord this book was fabulous and the first book by a new Arthur. I started reading this and absolutely couldn't put it down It had me laughing so hard I'd just bust out laughing not even gonna lie and talk about some steamy sex thrown in as a added bonus Holy hell what a book. I know I'll be looking at fairytales in a whole new light. I highly highly recommend this book. If you like your fairytales with a twist you'll love this book.

This is my unbiased opinion and my review.

This is a fun and quirky read with some very steamy scenes. It's a crazy mix of a child's fairy tales and an adult's erotica. The characters are all named after characters you most likely recognize. They have a wide range of personalities. There is an Maleficent (of course, since she is the heroine,) Eric and Ariel, Glenda, Ursula, Cinderella, Rapunzel... ect. As is with most all fairy tales, it's all about love and finding your one true love. This has that, as well as the other aspects you'd find in a modern romance. They have a big break-up, then a big make-up. They have secrets they are hiding from each other. There is the loud, sassy take no prisoner BFF, the obnoxious Mom who annoys you, but you know has her daughters best interest in mind, the guy who says all the right things, the mean girls who make her life miserable. The language is a bit vulgar at times, and the sexual content is pretty high. There is a bit of silly and playfulness about the whole book, so don't plan to go into this expecting a serious or emotional read. That's not saying the characters emotions aren't real. They do make you believe in the love they have for the other. All in all, this is a fun and light(ish) read you can enjoy without all the heaviness. No Kleenex required. :) Definitely meant for mature readers.

This was a great book! I liked both of the main characters, and the fairytale town! The only thing that annoyed me was Mal's mom, who was very nutty and just generally a bit too weird for me. 4 star story. I will be reading more by this author.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mal and all her sweet bumbling led her to her true love Stefan. Stefan loved everything about Mal, even the parts she was ashamed of and tried to hide from the world. I laughed so hard at the dinner scene with Mal's psychotic mother. Letty was an amazing friend until she was miserable and wanted company. I absolutely loved all the eighties references!
