This series is just getting better! I loved everything about this story, the new characters, the whodunit mystery, all of the twists and turns, it was such a great listen. The narrator is fantastic and really brings something unique to every character, they feel real and all like separate individuals. I hope the rest of the series continues on like this book and the previous one, they have been my favorites.

While I did enjoy this story overall and it was quite fun, it definitely was too long/quite slow for anything to happen, which prevents me from giving it 4 stars

This has been my guilty pleasure since I read book 1. After every 2-3 odd books, I come back to the Invisible Library series and check up on what my favourite librarian/spy is up to.
In book 5, she is apparently an investigator stuck between chaos and order. A classic whodunit at its core, book 5 is more of a filler where old characters come back for a reunion and a new, possibly more interesting character surfaces for the future. There is very less foreshadowing for the overall arc but as it stands in the series, it is nonetheless a good addition.

Whoa! This was the most action-packed of the books in this series yet. Essentially, Fae, dragons, and Librarians have converged on a Paris to negotiate a peace treaty. Librarians are the neutral witnesses/moderators, of course. All hell breaks loose and we get to meet some really interesting new characters. Some are terrifying and all are powerful. I am so anxious to see where the next book takes us, given the inventive ending Cogman gives us here. I will wait on bated breath for the next installment (hopefully) out later this year!
