Just okay for me. The characters and the story were good, but the world building was severely lacking for me and that is the most important thing in a book for me. Seafire wasn't bad, just not for me.

I really liked this book! I listened to the audiobook version, and the voiceover was what really set it for me, they did a great job! It was a nice fantasy, and I’m excited to read the rest! I do wish there had been a few more interaction scenes, but I thought the flow of the book was great! The flaws of the characters were a bit too overemphasized though, as I don’t think they needed to be said every. chapter. But I liked the story and the characters, and I enjoyed reading this!

This is a thrilling and empowering tale that will captivate readers who crave adventurous stories of found family, sisterhood, and rebellion, particularly those who enjoy fantasy and seafaring adventures with strong female protagonists.

This was such a fun read, I love the bond that the girls have and I appreciate Cal’s development as a character she progresses really smoothly. Also what I loved about this book was how in detail it went into the lore of piracy I felt really submerged into the story and I can see that the author knows what they were talking about.

I would have liked for some of the scenes to be slower and to see the girls interact a bit more that was outside of fighting.

It was fine. Pacing was fast, adventure was a whirl-wind... tainted by a little insta-love, a lot of bickering and heap of immaturity in a Captain they all have to emotionally hold up.

nothing against this book personally but my motivation to read it just drastically dropped about halfway through. i knew if i forced myself to keep reading not only would i not enjoy myself but i would also end up rating the book lower than it probably deserved.
