A lot happened in this book for a start the split of the twins has made everyone see what a cold heartless person Erin is which I think is a nice twist because in real life friends split all the time and it would have been too easy to keep them as friends. I'm not sure about shalyin I don't like her character much but her gift is awesome! It is irritating that they can't seem to kill nefert though and it feels a bit samey that they keep having to fight her again and again.

I still remember when I started reading this series. They caught me badly, I probably read the first four more than three times. It was cool, they talked about friendship and the value of it, they had cute guys that were willing to do everything for the girl they liked, and it was sort of interesting. I even liked Zoey at the beginning, but seriously? They have totally ruined what started like something a little bit mediocre but ok to read.
Zoey is our main character, girls like to relate themselves with the main character of the book, c'mon none wants to be like the weird best friend that shows up twice, or at least not in my case. Zoey was ok at the beginning of the series, she was strong what was cool, I liked all the stuff about woman ruling. But not to far from the beginning, probably always, Zoey was a complete slut, she's had like what? Four man at the same time? And they tried to fix that by saying that a high priestess has the right to have a consort and a lover, and all of that stuff, and ok, whatever, she's a whore anyway. I could tolerate all of that crap, I mean, I was like "okay whatever you say", although she was no longer the kind of character that I would like to be like, but she still had something that you could admire: strength. BUT, they managed themselves to get rid of that too, I don't remember when, I don't remember how, but Zoey became the kind of girl that cannot do anything alone, she could not be sure of her decisions, he wasn't strong anymore, she wanted to cry all the time, she needed everyone to speak for her, and the thing that bothered me the most: every time anything tough happened, the only thing she could think of was throwing herself to the arms of one of his several boyfriends. Is that what they want girls to think? That they can't do anything by themselves? I don't even remember Zoey being single for more than a week. They're showing her as useless by herself, and probably she is.
I read this book expecting the writers to finally put an end to it, but they keep making it longer, and therefore WORSE. I no longer feel any kind of connection with any of the characters, they do whatever they want with them, the good ones become bad ones, the bad ones become good ones. I feel like they honestly lost all perspective, and they've no idea what to do now.
Now, they end the book with the typical: "The end... FOR NOW" You have got to be kidding me, eleven? Are you serious? Everything has to come to an end sometime, and in my opinion they should have ended these series like in the fifth book, not even awesome books with awesome plots are this long.
If you like these books, good for you, everyone likes different kind of things. This is just my opinion.

I loved the first few books in this series. Then it seemed that each new book to a different and more crazy turn and the characters became less like able. Aphrodite saved this book for me.
Maybe best yet as far as story. Though little things are distracting like person A saying they’re going to go to X place now and literally half a page later saying don’t forget I’m going to Y place now.
“No matter what else, we have love. Always love.”
Another great book in the series. A little bit of filler in the beginning, but then the rest was absolutely action-packed. So much plot happens near the middle/end, like.

Spoiler
Erin going over to the dark side, the addition of Shaylin as part of the circle, Kalona's redemption in pledging himself to Thanatos and finding the path of Nyx again, Aurox learning to control the Beast and everybody realizing he is Heath, and the Big Bad Battle at the end where Neferet's backstory is (slightly?) revealed and she is defeated for the moment.
As with every one of these books. I loved it. As soon as I start it I can't put it down. It captures you and doesn't let go.
