First Atwood book I’ve read and was blown away by her writing. Just was a little complex to follow at times.

I loved the hand maidens tale, although I read it many many years ago. I liked it but expected more.

Another brilliant dystopian world built by Margaret Atwood and remarkably prescient about what might happen at a societal level in the event of a global pandemic.
The characters are not necessarily hugely likeable but intriguing and you definitely feel impelled to keep reading to find out their fate. I like the aspect of different parts of the community and how they help tell the story of how the world has come to this place.

A scary post-something earth and a flashback into how it got there. This one will appeal to lots of sci fi readers as well as Atwood's regular fans. She does a great job exploiting our fears of the future.

I had to read this for class so I didn't go into it with any expectations other than it is one of my Professor's favorite books. The beginning of it was very confusing for me and I couldn't get into it, then about halfway through I could not put the book down. The narrative structure of this book is just so unique which I hated at first but loved by the end. The switching between memories and present situations became so cool when the memories started to finally explain the present. I can't wait to go get the next two books in the series!
