Woah. Just woah.

“𝙄𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚.” -Janae

This books gives us an idea or a background of a possibility of psychopath or school shooting murderer. Even the school shooting survivors said that most of the shooters were mentally ill and an outcast and also a student at that school or any other schools which means he knows the shooting drills at that school. I can't say much because I'm not an American so I don't experience it but that's what I understand from the survivors.

Simon's characteristics: A loner, wants to participate every social clique activities but couldn't because people thinks his weird, betrayed by his long childhood best friend, mentally and emotionally ill, full of anger, vengeance and revenge and a psychopath.

I understand and feel bad for him and I am also mad to the people that treat him horribly. However I am not just gonna let him slide and forgive what he did to the whole school. Being mad at people that treat you horribly doesn't give you a reason to hurt them back. But I guess he was at his critical point of depression and was obsessed to ruin people lives just like how they did to him.

What he did posting deepest and darkest secrets on his About That app was unforgivable. Hell, even a girl almost off herself because of him. Janae was right, he didn't knew what is real to him anymore. To him, the four people were just his puppet and he's the puppeteer.

I don't remember which character said this but to him framing the four people for his so called murdered was like school shooting. But instead of showing up with guns at school and starts shooting, he decided to post secrets of these four people. We all know how social media affects us teens so he used it as his advantage. There's a saying that words are sharper than a blade (idk if this correct bcs im not good with idioms).

To him words hurt more than a bullet. By doing this, the victims will have trauma, mentally, physically and emotionally ill and experience the public shaming them just like how he experience every day. To him words are guns.

LETS NOT FORGET THAT HE SUPPORTED THE SCHOOL SHOUTING MURDERER IN ORANGE COUNTY (i think thats the place)!!!

And also lets not forget what a hypocrite Bayview High schoolers are. Veronica slut shaming Addy only because Addy slept with TJ while she's with Jake WHEN SHES ACTUALLY SLEEPING WITH ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MALE IN THE SCHOOL. Veronica also gay shaming Cooper AND HE HAD TO LIVE UP TO THE STEREOTYPE OF JOCK BECAUSE JOCKS ARE MOSTLY STRAIGHT NOT GAYS!!! GOD I HATE HER SM!!

I also want to add Addy and Ashton's household. The way their mom treats them as if they are toys or objects to her because all she cares about is boys and gives in whatever they tell us too because she said "they will get bored"

The twist was unexpected. I was half correct about who's behind "Simon's murdered".

One thing for sure, not only games can affect killers mind, but also stereotypes and cliques at school.

This was a very good book, and probably the first book where I have actually been interested in every single POV.

In the beginning, I loved how she set it up so that you didn’t know what each of them were trying to hide and no one trusted anyone. This made it interesting when you got to read it from all of the different perspectives.

At the end, Jake make me want to throw the book…but I guess that’s expected.

All of the stories pulled together very nicely, and I like how much the characters developed by the end of the book. Very excited to read the next book!!

I truly wish one of them actually killed Simon rather than this whole thing being orchestrated by Simon as a dramatic school shooting-like suicide. Imagine the police never investigated how the peanut oil ended up in his body and all his planning was for no reason.

This was a pretty decent YA thriller. The character arcs were done well and they all ended in a different place than they began. The mystery was intriguing and had me second-guessing myself every couple of chapters. The multiple POVs were handled well, in my opinion. This is not a book where I felt that two main characters becoming romantically involved necessary, and at times I was annoyed by that relationship. I enjoyed Addy and Cooper most.

This book would have been so much better if I hadn't gotten the twist spoiled for me. So I will review it like I didn't know the ending at all.

This was freaking enjoyable. Where the clues to the mysteries were very obvious -and I'll go more in-depth on that- how interesting all the characters were stepped up to meet it. I didn't continue reading this book because I wanted to solve this mystery, I read this because I liked all of the characters and was invested in their story. All of the four main characters had something unique and relatable about them, a struggle they were going through. And even the side characters were great. By halfway into this book I was more invested in their lives going well than in the mystery being solved.
The clues weren't that greatly hidden, at least for me. I think maybe they were meant to be obvious, and the characters were so distressed they couldn't easily connect them.
