(4.5) Although I enjoyed this book of the series I could guess the ending by the middle. I liked the trials idea for Darren to prove himself a worthy vampire, but I didn’t like how it ended. It seemed like a waste for him to compete in the trials just to run away when he failed one.

Well written. Keeps you riveted from the beginning. Darren must prove his strength and loyalty to the Vampire clans in the hardest Trial of his life. A friend betrays him, another saves him and the rigid rules of the Vampires are challenged in the worst way possible. I love this one. This series just keeps getting better every book.I love Darren's character. He's growing into a vampire of honor and one who will do anything for his friends and his believes. RECOMMEND!!
