I really wanted to love this book, but there were just some things I didn't love and it has nothing to do with the MMC being a lizard!
I liked that the book was really short. I think it's a smart way to get people into a romance sub genre that is a little bit "out there" and unique. Because it was so short even though i wasn't loving the book i still finished it.
I understand where she was going with the concept, but i don't think that it was executed super well. There's so many other ways she could have done the intro to farming that didn't give off the vibe of the white girl coming in to save the indigenous people. I know she did lots of things to show that she wasn't trying to do that, but the commentary and the way she was brought the planet just gives that vibe and it's hard to not see it that way since the indigenous people didn't invite her there to teach them to farm. So it was just a bit wierd.
I think overall the book needed some editing. I didn't love the writing style and again think editing would have helped. They said "my" in front of the names all the time and that really threw me off.
I actually didn't mind the interspecies spicy scenes, some of them were quite good, but the whole virgin hymen scene was just super weird to me and felt a bit unnecessary. I also thought the relationship was a little too sweet and insta love for me.
I won't be continuing with this series, but I'm not saying no to monster romance!

White savior energy. Couldn’t get past the microaggressions
I enjoy this one more than I thought a bit rushed at the end I wouldn’t mind more pages to extend the final interaction with the humans but it was nice

I enjoyed the overall plot of this story. An intergalactic matchmaking agency matches a human woman with a lizard man. She moves to his planet to become part of his society, bringing her farming knowledge with her. The characters were likeable, and the romance was sweet and steamy. However, the writing felt a bit formal. I'm also not sure how I feel about the outsider swooping in and saving the planet's native populations.
