At first I had my doubts over how much I would enjoy this book due to the author's writing style. It seemed self indulgent. But as I continued reading, I realized how important this book is. It angered me, but also intrigued me and I thought it was extremely informative. I feel like I learned a lot from this book, which I really enjoyed.
The author's way of weaving her traumatic childhood into the PI narrative was interesting. The connections she made on her personal background with her ability to do the PI work was very interesting. The end was extremely touching and hopeful too :')

This was a heavy and interesting book to read. This was definitely outside my normal genres but it was enjoyable and very different. There were times that it was difficult to follow but it all came together at the end very well. There are a lot of fun elements like romance, mystery, aspects of mental health, and lot more. This was a jammed packed book that was short in length. The book was a page turner with new information becoming known each turn and the want to find out how this ends is big.
