This was a cute offshoot story from the main duology! I enjoyed the growth from the FMC, although some of the pressure from others about the love interest was a bit questionable for me at first. Once that initial pressure lays off and they’re able to interact organically, it is a cute lil romance. The plot twist on the island they land on is interesting and opens up more possibilities for additional side stories.

Really enjoyed this book and it was a relatively quick read. I love Tricia Levenseller's writing style, it always makes for an easy read. This book was nothing mind-blowing but enjoyable nonetheless.

i absolutely adore tricia levenseller and all her works. so of course i had to get my hands on her newest one! this book of the series turns to another character in the pirate queens life: sorinda, her vengeance. sorinda was the assassin friend of the pirate queen and it’s about time she got her own story. tricia levenseller is absolutely amazing at how she weaves her stories, enchanting you with every word.
i did think this book fell a little flat in comparison to the first book, which i thought the same of the second book too. did i still enjoy it? absolutely. will i read another if she writes it? also absolutely. should definitely give it a read!
