Vengeance of the Pirate Queen was an easy and fun time. I listen to this book. I enjoyed the narration.

I didn't know how I would fare away from Alosa with the focus on Sorinda, her assassin, but it worked out really well. Alosa was in the background, featuring occasionally, but Sorinda was interesting enough to carry this story. The world remained fun, sometimes creepy and often exciting.
Sorinda preferred to be a lone worker, she shied away from connections, friendships and more. Being an assassin suited that nature but Alosa sent her on a quest where she became Captain of her own ship. There was a lot of character growth and a great plot to get your teeth into. Side characters were well written with Kearan and Roslyn being firm favourites.
The plot was somewhat bloodthirsty but if you are a fan of the series, you'll know this. There were some later plot holes for me where I had unanswered questions but they were minimal.
This installment kept the fun pirating with the fantasy and beastly excitement. An easy read to continue the series.
Thank you to Pushkin Press for the eARC.
