I really enjoyed this book! It had just the right mix of suspense and romance—two of my favorite things—which made it such a fun and engaging read. What stood out to me is how different it felt from Nicholas Sparks’ usual style, which made it refreshing in the best way. Definitely one I’d recommend!

While I think I love the movie a little bit more (even though it is very different), the book is still fantastic! It's adorable and some what terrifying all at the same time.

There was nothing wrong with this book and the characters were very agreeable and that is the problem it was just too plain and plain in the way that these people talked about same things over and over and Kevin hand only a few thoughts and all his povs were like a reel kept playing over and over. It was annoying. The suspense aspect of the story was amazing. The point is that the book could have been shorter and better. What I loved was the suspense and the world building, I felt like I was watching the scenes and I was transported in the sleepy world of Southport. The romance aspect was bad and felt forced.
And that Dead Wife trope..... ugh that was the rotten cherry on the top. Seriously the dead wife letter at the end spoiled the book. And u know why the romance felt forced bcoz it was FORCED by the Dead Wife's ghost , u know, she was playing matchmaker
