One of my favorites from childhood -- all of Noel Streatfeild's books, actually, which I discovered in the local library. I'd never heard of "him" (only found out much later the writer was a "her"), and none of my friends had, either. Made her books feel oh so special...

Ridiculously sweet and adorable. I would have eaten this book up when I was 10 or 11 and loved books about orphans.

This was a nice middle grade story about 3 orphaned girls who were adopted and became sisters. They attend a dance academy school, One is really good at acting, one is good at dancing but the middle sister wants to work with cars and fly planes. They each had a tendency to be brats at times but I liked how they learned from their mistakes and pulled together as a family

Lovely little story I enjoyed as a kid. Not as entertaining as an adult, but still a sweet story. Love the movie they made from it.
