This and the spellshop may be my favorite books ever! Cozy and magical!! They feel like hot cocoa and a fuzzy blanket by the fire while snow falls and glistens outside your window.

Sarah Beth Durst gives another great fantasy in her cozy magical world!
The Grand Library of Alyssium has one iron-clad law - only licensed and trained sorcerers are allowed to practice magic. But when librarian Terlu uses her knowledge of language to give a spider plant sentience to alleviate her crippling loneliness, the courts decide to make an example of her, in the worst possible way. Sentenced to become a statue, she is quickly forgotten and relegated to a study room decoration. Until she wakes up alone, covered in snow on an island she's never heard of, outside an enormous greenhouse. But the reception is even chillier inside, as the only occupant is Yarrow, an isolated and unsocial gardener, who thought she could help him save the magical greenhouse.
Scared of being discovered doing unauthorized magic, Terlu offers to help Yarrow in whatever way she can, especially when the greenhouse magic starts to fail, putting him, and a motley assortment of magical creatures, in extreme danger. But is the risk worth the reward?
A lovely, cozy fantasy about finding yourself, forgiving others, and forging your own family!
