This was cuuuuuute. 
I definitely was left wanting a lot more from the world building & character development. 
It felt rushed overall so it struggled to be believable at certain points. 
I’ll keep reading the series because it is a fun concept & im curious where it’ll go but I’m hopeful the series matures a bit.

Im still processing, but what im about to say might shock the booktok community: this book read like a thriller to me. I know i know, this is a fantasy magic circus book, but at its core its about an eldest sister trying to protect her younger sister when she cant trust anything anyone hears or says, which is quite literally a category of nightmare for me (im an elder sister lol). But thats more if a personal note. Objectively, i liked it, but it was okay. I thought the plot was predictable, but it was still enjoyable regardless. I plan on reading the other books in the trilogy
