It's nice to see more of carden's childhood. It's interesting to see the reason that he ended up the way that he is and his point of view is the one that I didn't think I would get to see. However I do not like Carden. I don't care what tragic backstory they give him I do not like him so grain of salt.

This was fine enough, I enjoyed getting a look into Cardan’s mind. I wished for this to focus more on him and Jude, and their relationship from his perspective, but I suppose I can’t judge this based on my prior expectations.

This book was different from the trilogy. It felt calmer but still had drama. I really enjoyed getting a slight picture of Cardan's side. I'm falling deeper in-love with Cardan though. Probably not good. I loved the art style as well!
