4.25 rounded to 4. Oleg's story is 10 out of 5 stars.
I continue to really enjoy Macintyre's storytelling (read Agent Sonya a couple years ago). This story about a KBG agent who defected to spy for Britain during the cold war had my mouth agape one moment and laughing out loud the next. Sometimes real life is the best story there is.

Absolutely amazing. My second spy novel but this is the novel that now has my hooked. I can only hope to find another in the genre that will level up this books level

Ok so this book has taken the top spot on my list of Cold War spy nonfiction. It is hands down simultaneously the funniest book I've read in that genre but also the most engrossing and well-written. I don't know what other books I've said highly recommend about lately but this one is better than pretty much all of them I think. More highly recommend.
