Laini Taylor's use of words is beyond amazing. She blows my mind. So beautiful. So strange. So bizarre.
Narrator was fabulous!
Was a bit slow to grab my attention. But since I loved her previous books, I was more than willing to wait for the awesomeness. I was NOT disappointed. :-)
I was completely absorbed by the story. I could not stop listening. And then I was too close to finishing the book, so I stopped. I didn't want it to end. I didn't listen for 2 days just so I could stay in this magical world a little longer.
Please tell me the sequel comes out tomorrow ! I don't know how to wait to find out what happens to these characters!

Who knew I would end up loving this book. I have been putting off reading this book for so long. And now that I have finished it I feel so foolish to even have thought I would not fall in love with this book. ♥️
For me the factor that made this book to join my list of favorites is how it handles gray morality. With a world filled with villanous heroes and heroic villains, which side do you choose? Usually while reading a book I know which side I am on, who I am rooting for and who I just want slayed. This book really does arouse a lot of important questions. With past so gruesome, do you hold on to revenge or move forward with forgiveness? Such beautiful writing, so unique world and such complex characters. This book is definitely a food for my soul♥️♥️♥️♥️.
