This book was soooooooooooooooo looooooooooong, but other than that I really enjoyed it!
From the rave reviews I read before I opened the book, and the vast number of recommendations I received, I was expecting this book to change my life.
And it was good, but it didn't blow my mind.
If a book is going to be nearly 600 pages, there needs to be a lot of things happening for it to hold my interest.
And whilst this didn't drag a whole heap, I did feel that it was longer than it needed to be.
But I ship the ship so much and the characters are really great!!
And I look forward to the sequel!

I loved this book so much. Laini Taylor is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors and I just love the way she crafts stories and how she writes. This book unfolded beautifully and while I was able to guess one of the reveals at the end this didn't take away from my enjoyment one bit. This was a beautiful book that completely broke my heart at points and I can't wait to read the sequel and find out how this duology ends!
