2.5, really, but I didn't like it enough to round up. There was cheese, some hint of a plot, more cheese, failed melodrama, a decent-if-predictable plot twist, and a pretty satisfying ending. This series will never be lauded as a brilliant work of literature, but it cannot be said that they don't improve as it progresses. So kudos, Lauren Kate. Kudos.

I love how Luce actually plays an importance for once. And I've sorta fallen in love w/ the Outcasts

I've waited a whole year to read the final installment in the series. For me, the books just got better. I absolutely fell in love with Passion, and it was probably due to the fact that there was no possessive boyfriends -ehem Daniel- in that book. There was no boring moments in Passion for me, so I made up my mind that Rapture was going to be EPIC!
Once I started reading the book, came the devastating reality...
Rapture was awful!
Luce became so independent in Passion and what happened to that girl in Rapture? She worried way too much about what might Daniel think. The book was slow going and the only moment I was on the edge of my seat was when Sophia attacked Cam with starshots. If not for the unexpected ending I would have given the book a one star. This book was a big disappointment.

I read this book earlier this year. I must say not everything is clear in my mind.
The story was good, and I liked the ending of Luce and Daniels story and a small look into the other characters' future.
The main part of the story was okay, but there were parts where I didn't love the story
I did not expect the ending, but I liked it anyway.
So, overall, were the story a bit over okay.

Rapture is an amazing book! Luce, Daniel, and friends hunt down the things needed to stop Lucifer from destroying the world they know and love. Along the way, Luce comes to discover more about her and Daniel's love.

The Fallen Series ends beautifully with this book! I cannot even express everything that I'm feeling right now...

I'm going to sorely miss Daniel and Luce and the other fallen angels and nephilim. :'(
So Rapture starts where Passion left us - Luce is back from the Announcers and Lucifer is set on having a second fall of the angels so he can erase history.
So our heroine, together with Daniel, Ariane, Cam, Roland and the rest of the gang, has to find out 3 relics that will tell the place where the angels fell for the first time so that they can stop this whole evil plan.
Their defeat means not only that the world as it is will be destroyed but also that Luce and Daniel will lose their last chance of living their love.
This "quest" for the relics ends up also being a journey of self-discovery that will give Luce the answers to all the questions that she still has about herself, her relationship with Daniel and her future role in the war for balance between good and evil.

I have to say that Lauren Kate caught me totally off guard! I did not see the whole truth coming!
I was completely astounded when I found out that
This totally shook me up! :S
At first, it was weird thinking about this but you know what? I understand! After all, Lucifer is The Deceiver...
I was really happy with the end. +.+ Everything seems to be a dream...

I was sad because I wanted to read more about them finally together but I am happy just knowing that they are both finally free to love each other. That's what it matters.
I totally recommend this book. You cannot miss it!

Rapture is the fourth and final instalment for the Fallen series by Lauren Kate and one that I’ve been anticipating since finishing Passion. Luce has just returned from her time-travelling tour of her past lives and now only has nine days to prevent the fall and cause all those years, all those past lives with Daniel, to be written.
In order to stop Lucifer (otherwise known as Bill the Gargoyle) and his announcer to finish falling and rewriting time, Luce, Daniel and the rest of the fallen angel gang have to find three artefacts that when brought together will somehow show the destination of the Fall and help them prevent it from re-happening.
There were times when I loved reading this book and other times when I wanted to throw the book across the room. It’s definitely one of those books where you have to be in a certain mood to appreciate all that’s happening. The romance was sweet – at times too sweet. I felt like I was going to get a sugar high so sweet it was bordering on a toothache. Luce and Daniel are an adorable and loving couple that are lovely and romantic but at the same time sometimes I felt like it was over the top and just too cute and too much for me to take.
The plot sometimes felt a little confusing as to why each of the characters did the things that they did – They have only a few days to save the world and yet instead of thinking things out and approaching things logically they rush in and do things that end up with them being in dangerous life-threatening situations. There were many things that were a little too coincidental and/or convenient happening a lot of the time.
I think these fallen angels could have benefitted from a google search or two when trying to track down the artefacts – instead they rely on a book written by one of them a few hundred of years ago. Then they take the most vulnerable and fragile member of the group – who also is the most important and valuable person in the entire series – and put her in dangerous situations without taking proper precautions… The whole thing just felt a little unbelievable and frustrated me with how unprepared everyone was.
I did, however, love the ending. This is what the entire series had been building up to and despite some things getting on my nerves, I adored how everything came to a head in this novel. Overall this is a beautiful story of true love and angels. I’d love to read a spin-off series if the author ever decides to write one about Cam’s story.
If you enjoyed the previous stories in the series then I definitely recommend Rapture. It’s a fantastic way to leave Daniel and Luce and they definitely deserve the ending that they get.
