Not being a part of both communities, I cannot speak to issues with the representation of asexuality or ableism, though I can see how some aspects of the book could be offensive. For that, I knocked it down a few stars, because I think authors can do better and utilize sensitivity readers. I enjoyed the story for the most part, and the characterization of the 2 main characters was good. Narrator excellent as always

I think the author did a really good job highlighting how a relationship between someone who is asexual and someone who isn't could develop and ultimately work but I felt like at times because this topic may be newer to most it became a little too much like an after-school special.   That dynamic made some of the conversations and the inner dialogue of the characters feel incredibly stilted.

One of the best and sweetest romance novels I've ever read. And also one of the best written Asexual lead characters this ace has ever experienced.

Nice romance, with well developed characters and a very interesting storyline. It’s one of the few books I’ve ever seen with ace main characters and I learned a lot, in an organic way. My only issue with it was that it sometimes felt like it slowed down too much, so it could’ve been a little tighter. Still, a very enjoyable read, though.
