This is the longest spaltterpunk novel that I've read and I'm not sure if more of the plot element worked for me in reading this specific genre. I think this would have done super well as a novella. It still wasn't bad, just a bit drawn out feeling despite being fast paced.

I didn't know this was considered a splatterpunk genre book. Which is just not for me. But I found the concept interesting and honestly the writing was good enough for me to finish. There's a side plot that I don't think was necessary. It was really dark and it was pretty awful to read. I kind of wish the focus was more on the crazy screaming virus going around. But this type of book isn't really for me so I don't want to rate it too badly cause I didn't think it was a bad book at all.

This was disgusting and I loved it. I guessed our big twist about halfway through, but wasn't disappointed.

Chucky and Les forever. Just two scumbags trying to fill the void.

Definitely check your trigger warnings, because this one is rough.

This book is written in two perspectives. One from a kidnapped boy and a terrible man. Everyone is despicable and the book stretches this to the seams. True to the extreme horror genre.

If you really enjoyed tender is the flesh, but wished it was more modern, this is your book. This book has less of the grotesque detail of stripping the product through the plant process. Rather, this book focuses on sex being an obsession in the process of getting the product.
I don't think I'll be re-reading this ever.

I actually surprisingly liked this book? It was fucking gross, for starters — I dont have any triggers, not much really makes me feel anything, but some of the visuals in this made me, uh, nauseous. To say the least.

However, I liked how everything came together at the end, and I enjoy a good, bleak horror novel.

And this was bleak.
