3 ⭐️ This was an almost DNF...
It's taken me almost a week to finish this book. I still don't understand how these kinds of mmcs fit in a series like this one - spoiler: they don't.
I hated Sikthard. That's really all I could focus on while reading this book. He's verbally and physically abusive towards the FMC, and the only reason why I finished the whole book was to find out how the author would redeem a character so utterly irredeemable. The answer is, apparently, complete denial.

So yeah, I don't think I'd recommend this one. It has the whole 'touch her and you die', 'my wife' vibes, but in a borderline dark romance way - you know, the super toxic way.
