My review for this one is remarkably similar to Choosing Theo, the only other book I've read from this series.

First, it can be read as a standalone, provided you can go with the flow on some of the background info that's mentioned. It's cute, it's easy to read, I'd definitely recommend it to folks. It's a little slow burn for me, personally, and it takes a long time to start seeing any action.

Good book wish there was atleast 1 more POC FMC in this series

I loved this so much! This is probably one of my favorites of the whole series.

How does every book in this series feel like crack cocaine. This one is definitely in the top 3.

My favorite one in the series so far, up there with Using Fejo.

Sooo doggone good!!

This series better and better with each book. Although choosing Theo will always have a special place in my heart….this book. The anguish!! The angst!!! The political intrigue. Everything resonated so hard.. and then the SMEXY TIMES!!!!

3.5! First time getting into alien smut and ya sure why not lol

ok yeah it’s official this is my favorite one!!!
this book felt totally different than the other ones in the series and i couldn’t get enough!
idk if this was intentional or if other people felt this but it had a bit of beauty & the beast retelling vibes (even a stockholm joke lol)

i think what i loved so much about it was that there was no turmoil in sophia to get back to earth, we didn’t have to get past that hurdle at all. and she fell in love with vrulactica because it was like exactly her vibe! it’s how i imagine i would feel if i was kidnapped by aliens lol. like she has spent her whole life on earth being slightly dark and alternative with the tattoos and the love of LARPing and she was just dropped into this fierce but beautiful world, honestly a dream
