Always SUCH a good time with this series and once again proved that they’re my ELITE slump busting series. I had a feeling Sikthand was going to be special and I was right. He was sweet and oh so damaged. The setting was very cool. I love how Victoria slips the world building in so seamlessly and you’re just there without feeling like you’re sludging through dense description! I loved Sophia’s resilience and attitude - realistic but adaptable. She was the perfect one for Sikthand and complimented him so well. Sikthand has been👏🏻through👏🏻it👏🏻 and while my heart broke for him, I enjoyed watching him slowly learn to trust again. There was some political build up in this one and I am super curious for more answers and the status of Clecanian and Earth. Hopefully we’ll find out more in Rhaego’s book which I can’t wait for!!

This is a solid 4.5⭐️ this whole series was such a surprise. I’m not an alien romance girly BUT HERE WE ARE.
Each one of these is an interconnected story that can standalone but the political intrigue builds into Maxu’s book and this story is the climb into an explosion. All of the books have a HEA but there’s a bigger plot going on in the background- are you following me? I hope so.
Anyway, he’s mean and distrustful (rightfully so) and she’s just gonna do her thing no matter what he has to say. I continuously laughed that she sources her confidence from LARP’ing when she was on earth.
Tattoo buddy is such a bright spot in this book- I love him. The scene where they make eye contact over a tattoo and she shushes him? HEART EYES.
