This was a nice read but got unexpectedly dark at times! Overall, I enjoyed reading this, but I doubt I'll think about it much after today.

This was another hit by Talia Hibbert for me. It was for sure an instant love situation which sometimes I don't enjoy as much because it tends to move fast, but in this case it was very fun. I especially enjoy a good fake dating story. The way it all came together in end really made it feel like it'll be a relationship that could truly work.

Honestly, I think in the Talia-verse, this book was not one of my favorites. Perhaps it is because this was one of her earlier works, but I don't know. The fake-engagement trope is one that I've always been a bit more hesitant to embrace, and that could be a possible explanation for why this book was just so hard for me to get through. While there was character development, I think it was pretty weak in comparison to some of her other stories. On the bright side, it does allow you to see how artistically Talia really came into her own Brown sisters on. Overall, this book was just okay, and I probably will not find myself picking it up again for a reread anytime soon.

I dont know what I was expecting when I picked up this audiobook, but it wasnt this. I wanted to dnf because the narrator just doesnt fit the story, but stuck it out because I knew I could finish it in a day. I think I might have enjoyed it more if I read the physical version, but still the sex scenes made me cringe and I couldn't get on board with a large majority of the forced proximity and miscommunication plot points that kept their relationship on and off again...

This was cute but my least favorite from Talia Hibbert. I don't know if my enjoyment was hindered by the narrator specifically but it definitely contributed. (I'm not sure what he was doing with all of the accents 😵‍💫)

The story was fine, if not just a smidge too cheesy. I love a fake engagement but it felt a little too insta-love. (This may have something to do with the time jumps but the relationship seemed to develop way too fast.)

Obviously the banter and side characters were delightful. (Also, I didn't realize that the Jas from The Roommate Risk, is the Jas in this book. 😆)

Overall, an enjoyable read but I would not recommend the audio book.

The smut was good and the plot was okay.
I almost dnf'ed it in the first few chapters but I persevered through pure stubbornness.
