Y'all, the male audiobook narrator was so unserious (think Swedish Chef) that I almost bailed, but I hung in there because I knew my girl Talia wouldn't do me wrong. I was quite correct. This novel was a sexy, steamy, emotional rollercoaster and I absolutely loved it.

It was.. something. I liked the plot okay, but the sex part got a little weird with all the dominance stuff for me personally. I love Cherry. Ruben is a mix damn unlikable and protective/nice. A weird combination but he had a good character arc. Two of the sex scenes lasted four chapters each - interpret that as you will. This book had me thinking “I should probably get to reading more educational literature.” because this was really just pure spice, non existent plot. To take place in a realistic world, it was a tad bit hard to get a grasp on how truly unrealistic the ongoings of this novel were. Finally when there was some developing action with Lydia, the ending was so rushed and everything “resolved” in 2 chapters. I do love Talia Hibbert, but definitely prefer her Brown Sisters series much more.
