This was just not my vibe. I loved the Brown sisters series, so I wanted to read more of Hibbert's work. Buutttt yeah this was not the same at all. It was like 35 minutes of uninterrupted sex scenes multiple times narrated by a weird British man. Like why is a man there??? Very awkward read at work.
I also didn't like the way in which the romance unfolds, in her other works there is a lot more emphasis on consent and communication between the romantic leads. But she literally gets coerced into a public facing relationship with a royal all bc he was horny and holding back a secret. If she had known he was a crown prince of some other country she probably would not have engaged in sex acts IN PUBLIC with him in general so yeah that's icky. Also he is like being a dom without having the conversation with her first. You can't just do kink play without a thorough conversation about boundaries.
Idk if you like soft BDSM vibes with like almost no extra plot then you'll like this. It is very sex heavy soooo be warned

Loved every second of this book, and this continues to cement my perspective that I will read any and all Talia Hibbert books. This was a bit less polished than some of her newer books, but I was able to see her growth as an author which I absolutely adore.

Definitely the darkest book I’ve read by Talia Hibbert. Child abuse is a prominent theme in this book. Read with caution.

The story and how it unfolds is one of my favorites to date. I wish we got to explore a bit more of Cherry’s insecurities and where they stem from but the character development in this story is chefs kiss.
