Perfection. The small portion of the arena is the best part of the entire series

The one where shit goes down 💀
Great follow up with so much going on and so much intensity and intrigue. Love the world building between the Capitol and District relationships, the way the Games and Quarter Quells work, and the foreshadowing for the seeds planted for the next book as well.
Wasn't too crazy about the love triangle, but that's part of the YA package I guess.
Also continue to love how brutal and dark the story gets at times, not shying away from the extremes capitalist societies can lead us to.

Absolutely incredible follow up to the first book. Just like book one, it holds up over the years and is even better to be read as an adult. I don’t remember appreciating this series as much as I can now!
