These books are so poorly written. I truly don’t know why I keep reading them

I LOVED the first two books and I was so excited for this one but honestly I could have skipped it without missing out on anything.

2/3 of the book Sera and is trapped with Kolis and chipping away at his history without really figuring out anything crucial, and then the last 1/3 is smut which I was excited for and then let down by. Sera and Ash lost some chemistry for me- I think spending so much unnecessary time apart their relationship lost some of its steam. I feel like this book was only published to extend the series to make more money and could have been 15-20% of the final book in the series instead.

I pray to god that the next book is the last one because the story is begging to wrap itself up! It’s painful when there’s not enough plot to fill up the book.

Sooo sooo sooo good. This book picks up as Sera has been caught by Kolis and he has just realized she might be Sotoria. Callum does not believe that Sera is Sotoria because we learn that he is her brother! Ash shows up and Kolis and Ash get in an epic fight ending with Ash on the ground being stabbed over and over by Kolis... Sera is about to die and Attes gets him to stop to save her his graeca. Sera is saved by Phanos and his people giving their lives by donating their eather to her.

Sera is placed in a golden cage and forced to wear sheer gowns and put on display for everyone while Kolis holds court. She tries to escape by beheading Callum with a glass dildo and while she is running discoverers Kolis's ascended (vamprys) as well as the craven. At one point Sera talks back and Kolis bites her uninvited and he pleasures himself. This turns out to be quite traumatizing for her.

Attes had taken Sera to Kolis but he turns out to be loyal to Sera and swears it and took her knowing that he could save the shadow lands and many lives by stopping the fighting with her capture. Attes helps Sera while she's imprisoned and he can take the shape of a hawk.

Rhain gets captured trying to help Sera by tracking Kyn. Turns out Rhain can communicate telepathically and talks to Sera. When Kolis tried to kill him Sera offered him anything for his life.

Sera tricks Kolis into giving her the star diamond and Sera senses Eythos's soul inside. She gets so mad she goes full primal and kicks the shit out of Kolis stabbing him with ancient bone fragments and releases Ash with her primal mist. They hide Kolis body and escape. They released Eythos's soul and capture Sotorias soul in the diamond. Then Sera gets an amazing send off by their friends because she is dying.

Ash takes her to the lake and Ascends her and she becomes the queen of the gods and the true primal of life. Then Ash tells her stories while she sleeps and when she wakes they fuck for days. White she's sleeping she dreams of a cave cat and two little ones in the back ground. Is she already pregnant?? There has certainly been a lot of hinting at that, though why wouldn't Ash sense it?

So good. Can't wait for the next one.

This was so disgustingly boring and anticlimactic. I’m officially done with these books and this author. The way that there is pop references in the books from her fans? Cringe. The amount of unintelligible filler? Boring. She’s officially the author that has to extend every single series she writes, no matter how garbage it is, because she’s so money hungry she can’t just finish the masterpieces she’s started. Sigh. Donating my books to the first person who can drag me out of this reading slump this book has caused. ❤️

I was slow reading this one because every single time they gut me in the last hour/ 100 pages and take a left turn into oblivion I didn’t see coming. This time I got a happy ending and ended the book with a smile.
