I didn't like this book that well. It was a book that I could have just stopped reading it half way through. It was repetitive and I can't place my finger on it, but it was missing something. I have read better books by Mary Higgins Clark and I have been reading her books since she started. Not sure what was up with this one, but I wouldn't recommend it. I would recommend one of her older ones to a new reader of Mary Higgins Clark.

Why people are giving this book such bad reviews is beyond me. This book is absolutely brilliant and keeps you on the edge of your seat from the mysterious beginning to the plot twisting end.
Alexander "Zan" Moreland's son, Matthew, went missing a year (I think, I can't remember) ago. Then, on what would be his fifth birthday, some pictures come out showing that Zan might be responsible for his kidnapping! Throughout the book, you keep asking yourself who kidnapped him and I sometimes wondered if I had been the one that kidnapped him! A definite must read.

I always like Mary Higgins Clark books. However, I feel like she might be getting a little soft in her older age. This was definitely entertaining and went very quickly but it didn't really seem realistic. I feel like her older books were more intense, realistic and surprising. I correctly guessed the end of this book about half way through. Still, I liked it.

Really enjoyed this mystery. Compared to her earlier books the recent ones seem to be getting less dark and sinister, but it still has excellent plot weaving and some surprises.

Mary Higgins Clark is one of my favorite suspense authors and this book proves why she is known as the queen of suspense. I always think that I have everything figured out but she always has at least one huge twist that keeps me guessing until the end!

Not her most interesting. I had some trouble keeping interested. I usually devour here books in a day or two but this one took me a few stops and starts. Still, I did enjoy it. I also really liked the section in the back where she shared her inspirations for past books.
